Yair Crane

Crane founded EVI Advisory (EVIA) to accelerate the electrification of fleets while simultaneously developing and executing their EV Infrastructure solutions. Over 70 fleet operators, developers, public agencies, school districts, universities, drayage firms, delivery firms, and transportation contractors have successfully navigated the transition to clean transportation with Crane’s advisory, collaboration, and support.

Crane’s background spans 15+ years in clean technology, clean transportation, EV and renewable energy, goods movement, and utilities — including work in environmental consulting, government affairs and regulatory compliance, project development, and finance. In addition to the 120+ EVI projects exceeding $215M, Crane capitalizes on the vast network of trusted partners and stakeholders to support his clients.

Crane is widely known for converting complex business, incentive/financing/grant, regulatory, and utility frameworks into closed, bankable projects: combined with his technical, regulatory, and financial perspective to every engagement, along with advocating for customers with funding agencies and electric utilities, EVIA successfully moves clean transportation projects from early concept to operating infrastructure.

Earlier in his career, Crane worked across finance and investment, in both the US, Hong Kong, and China, experience that informs how EVIA approaches the financing and investment side of clean-tech and EV infrastructure projects today, and along with travel to over 20 countries and speaking 5 languages, he is here to serve clients while managing multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.

Crane spends his free time with his three children playing guitar, drums, board games, cooking, traveling, and going to the beach, while trying to keep up with their passions for drawing, painting, robotics, programming of games such as Roller Coaster Tycoon and Minecraft, and taking them to concerts.
